Diving activities

The dive center is open every day from 8:00 to 18:00

There are no strong currents in these parts of the Arabian Sea and as such diving and snorkeling are both fun and easy for divers of all levels. The diving is based on and around the coral reefs with a few coral covered wrecks. The dive sites are all within easy reach of Oman Dive Center, with the closest only 5 minutes from the dive center and the furthest a one and a half hour boat ride away.

Our program

Two-tank Morning Dive

see pricelist
every day, boat leaving between 8:30 and 9:00

After reaching the scheduled dive site, our guide will brief the divers about the dive. Our boat crew will then help you to gear up and…splash. Down into the blue for the first dive.

After your first dive, the boat captain will take you to a sheltered place for a surface interval. Once the boat is moored, the captain will shout “The bar is open!”- This is the sign that you can enjoy our on-board snack service. You will be served water, tea, biscuits and fruit.

Ready for the second dive? Let’s go then!

After counting to make sure everybody is on board, the captain will take you back to the dive center where our restaurant staff will be ready to serve you their specialties.

One-tank afternoon dive

see pricelist
every day, boat leaving between 14:30 and 15:00

This is the same as the morning dive, but our staff will take you out for one boat dive only.

Night dive

see pricelist
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The time depends on seasonal daylight.

Night dives take place in the sheltered sites of Jussa Island or Jussa Point, only a few minutes away from the dive center.

The stunning rocky bottom at Jussa Point makes the site an ideal home for shy creatures which come out to hunt their prey at night. Moray eels, sting rays, lobsters, nudibranch, spider crabs and king crabs are regularly spotted during our night dives.

Early morning dive

see pricelist
    can be arranged on request

It’s widely known that early morning dives give you a better chance for a special encounter. Particularly in the rich Omani waters, early morning dives can really make your day.

The boat will take you out of the bay when the “regular divers” are still sleeping, and bring you back just in time to tell them what they have missed!

Sometimes, when we have people willing to go for a two-tank dive in the afternoon as well, we schedule the early morning dive so that we can be back in time for lunch before the second trip.

Special trip to the Dimaniyat Islands

see pricelist

The Dimaniyat Islands helped place Oman on the world dive map. This string of offshore islands North of Muscat has been placed under the protection of UNESCO and provides divers with pristine coral gardens, walls and abundant fish life. Various shark species are encountered here, including the black tip and leopard sharks.

Trips to the Damaniyat Islands can be organized upon request for minimum 8 people. Transfer is by road to a place close to the islands, then by boat to the dive sites (see price list for details).
